Formas Expands Following Success on New ERGO Units

Formas’ remodelled commercial Ergo range, now with a 51sqm footprint, has been met with a positive industry response as the business prepares to expand interstate.
The 4.2 metre wide ERGO Home and Worker range come in a variety of layouts, from the one bedroom with ensuite, living and kitchen model through to the four bedroom, four ensuite model, each stackable to maximise space at a campsite or residential lot.
Included in upgrades to the models are an internal furniture package with air conditioner, bar fridge and double cavity walls which exceed BCA acoustic requirements.
The ERGO units can achieve Class 3 building with Type C construction of fire rating with fire-rated bedroom walls & ceilings, allowing the units to be double-stacked on its own structure.
The installation procedures for the units, which expand on site
from 2.4 metres, have also been improved, making the ERGOs an easily transportable and effi cient modular accommodation solution nation-wide for the resources, oil and gas, tourism, residential and commercial sectors.
In response to increasing demand for the units, Formas has expanded its operations, setting up a distribution office in Queensland headed by John Longhurst, who previously oversaw Formas’ activities from Perth.
John said he looks forward to continuing Formas’ success in the eastern states, where interest in both the ALTO and ERGO units is already abundant.
“The comfort, convenience and transportability of the Formas units has caught the interest of the industry and already we’re shipping units throughout the country,” he said.
“Establishing a Formas base in Queensland is the next logical step and I look forward to seeing both the ALTO and the ERGO units continue to set the benchmark for modular accommodation nation-wide.”
