Building can take time – especially in remote areas where transportation times can cause delays to your projected move-in date.

At Formas, we understand that time is of essence, and can provide fully transported buildings so you won’t have to deal with time delaying factors such as materials ordering, tradesperson availability or construction that drag out into poor weather seasons.

With the right conditions (eg. weather, site conditions), our trained assembly team can assemble your Formas  ALTO or ERGO within weeks.

Cost

Because the Formas ALTOs and ERGOs are constructed in factory production line conditions, the construction process is much cheaper than it is for traditional building processes.

Additionally, there is no requirement for escort vehicles or oversize loads so you also save significantly on transport costs. Nor do you have workers assembling on your site for months; Formas ALTOs or ERGOs can be assembled within days or just a couple of weeks, provided the conditions are right.

Formas can also assist with finance for your Formas ALTO or ERGO.

Environmental Sustainability

The Formas range is designed and developed to incorporate the highest principles of environmental sustainability by integrating the following into each Formas ALTO or ERGO:

• Thermal barrier windows/wall system
• Double glazing to the buildings
• Solar power and water heating capabilities
• Thermal/sound insulation
• Use of treated ply materials in all instances in lieu of solid timber to reduce attack from pests
• Roof rainwater runoff capturing
• Water saver cistern, tap and shower
• 2.4m ceiling heights peaking to 2.9m
• Low energy fluorescent downlights throughout all units
• Heat pump technology or solar water heating systems
• Up to 6 star energy efficiency rating
• International grade paint specification

Temperature

Formas has received Thermal Efficiency Compliance for our designs. Our specially designed products are ideal for hot, arid or tropical weather conditions as its design and materials are ideally suited to protecting the internal spaces from extreme heat. The Formas range feature fully insulated walls, pitched roofs and verandahs designed to keep the inside of the building cool.
